Eco-Friendly Moving

Moving can generate plenty of packing trash. We try to keep that low, and you can reduce it even more with some simple steps.

How our crew helps

• Blankets and pads we reuse. We wrap your furniture in moving blankets and pads, and after the move they go back on the truck for the next job. No throwaway plastic wrap.
• Boxes used again. We hold onto sturdy boxes in good shape and put them to work again, so they are not thrown out.
• Donating what stays behind. For furniture or household items you choose not to take, let us know before moving day. We help get usable things to donation.
• Recycling cardboard and paper. After we unload, we collect the cardboard and paper packing supplies for recycling instead of throwing them away.

Steps you can take before moving day

• Go through each room early and sort things into keep, donate, recycle, or discard. With fewer items, you need fewer boxes and a faster move.
• Pack clothes and linens in the suitcases, laundry baskets, and drawers you already have.
• Wrap plates and glasses in towels and linens instead of using new paper.
• Ask us about reused boxes when you request an estimate.
• Let the crew know which items are for donation so they keep those separate on moving day.
